Sophia Point will be the first truly accessible research and education centre in Guyana, South America. It will enable Guyanese students to access, study, understand and champion their rainforest. It will introduce leading science and conservation to a vitally important and overlooked ecosystem. It will provide a platform to integrate local and indigenous environmental expertise with cutting-edge science to deliver a more sustainable, equitable future for both people and planet.
