Syed Navid Anjum Hasan

Syed Navid Anjum Hasan is a development practitioner and climate justice advocate with over seven years of experience in climate adaptation, ecological justice, agroecology, youth engagement, and gender-responsive development. His work focuses on understanding and addressing the disproportionate impacts of climate change on marginalized communities, particularly women, farmers, and youth in climate-vulnerable regions of Bangladesh, including coastal areas, the Barind tract (Dry Land), urban centers, and the Haor basin (Wet Land).
As Program Officer at Research Initiatives Bangladesh (RIB), Navid has contributed to initiatives on climate resilience, climate justice, gender justice, and community-led sustainable development. He is also a published writer on climate justice, food security, displacement, and environmental governance, with articles featured in national newspapers such as the Dhaka Tribune and Times of Bangladesh.
Currently pursuing a Professional Master's degree in Disaster Science and Climate Resilience at the University of Dhaka, he is particularly interested in the intersections of climate change, social inequality, peace, and human security.
