Lain E. Pardo

Biologist

Lain Pardo is a Biologist, with a Master in Conservation and Wildlife Management. Currently, he is completing his Ph.D. in Tropical Ecology at James Cook University, Australia. In his research, Lain used a large camera trap array to investigate how oil palm plantations and other landscape and local factors influenced the diversity and habitat use of mammals across the main oil palm-production area of Colombia; his home country. His goal was to quantify the impacts of oil palm on biodiversity and develop management recommendations for biodiversity conservation.
