Derek Lee , Ph.D., is a wildlife biologist with expertise in conservation and population ecology. His research investigates Masai Giraffes and other large mammal populations within a fragmented landscape in Tanzania. This work examines how births, deaths, and movements of wildlife are impacted by increasingly fragmented wildlife habitat, what conservation actions are most effective, and how people and wildlife can thrive together.
