The Siberian Boreal Forests & Mountain Tundra bioregion is part of the Siberia & East Boreal Forests subrealm located in the Subarctic Eurasia realm (northern Palearctic) and contains six ecoregions—East Siberian Taiga (710), Northeast Siberian Taiga (714), Trans-Baikal Conifer Forests (718), West Siberian Taiga (720), Cherskii-Kolyma Mountain Tundra (771), Trans-Baikal Bald Mountain Tundra (782)—totaling nearly 769 million hectares of land area.

The Siberian Boreal Forests & Mountain Tundra bioregion is part of the Siberia & East Boreal Forests subrealm and is made up of six ecoregions: (1) West Siberian Taiga (2) East Siberian Taiga (3) Cherskii-Kolyma Mountain Tundra (4) Trans-Baikal Bald Mountain Tundra (5) Cherskii-Kolyma Mountain Tundra (6) Northeast Siberian Taiga.
