The Scandinavian Birch & Coastal Conifer Forests bioregion is located in the Subarctic Eurasia realm (northern Palearctic) and contains two ecoregions—Scandinavian Coastal Conifer Forests (708), Scandinavian Montane Birch Forest and Grasslands (780)—totaling more than 26 million hectares of land area.

The Scandinavian Birch & Coastal Conifer Forests bioregion is part of the Scandinavia & West Boreal Forests subrealm. It is made up of two ecoregions: (1) Scandinavian Coastal Conifer Forests and (2) Scandinavian Montane Birch Forest and Grasslands.
