The Northern Deccan & Odisha Tropical Forests bioregion is located within the Indian Subcontinent subrealm in Indomalaya and contains four ecoregions – East Deccan Moist Deciduous Forests [1], North Deccan Dry Deciduous Forests [2], Orissa Semi-Evergreen Forests [3], Godavari-Krishna Mangroves [4] – totaling approximately 42 million hectares of land area.
