The European Interior Mixed Forests bioregion is part of the Greater European Forests subrealm located in the Western Eurasia realm (western Palearctic). It contains three ecoregions—Central European Mixed Forests (654), East European Forest Steppe (661), Western European Broadleaf Forests (686)—totaling approximately 195.5 million hectares of land area.
