The Balearic Sea & West Mediterranean Mixed Forests bioregion is part of the Mediterranean subrealm and located in the Western Eurasia realm (western Palearctic). It contains six ecoregions—Iberian Conifer Forests (792), Iberian Sclerophyllous and Semi-Deciduous Forests (793), Northeastern Spain and Southern, France Mediterranean Forests (799), Northwest Iberian Montane Forests (800), Southeastern Iberian Shrubs and Woodlands (803), Southwest Iberian Mediterranean Sclerophyllous and Mixed Forests (805)—totaling approximately 55.5 million hectares of land area.

The Balearic Sea & West Mediterranean Mixed Forests bioregion is part of the Mediterranean subrealm and is made up of six ecoregions: (1) Southwest Iberian Mediterranean Sclerophyllous and Mixed Forests (2) Northwest Iberian Montane Forests (3) Iberian Sclerophyllous and Semi-Deciduous Forest (4) Iberian Conifer Forests (5) Southeastern Iberian Shrubs and Woodlands.
