The South China Subtropical Evergreen & Monsoon Forests bioregion is located in the Southeast Asian Forests subrealm of Indomalaya and contains five ecoregions – Hainan Island Monsoon Rain Forests [1], South China-Vietnam Subtropical Evergreen Forests [2], Jian Nan Subtropical Evergreen Forests [3], Taiwan Subtropical Evergreen Forests [4], South Taiwan Monsoon Rain Forests [5] – totaling approximately 94 million hectares of land area. This bioregion also includes adjoining coastal marine areas in the South China Sea. 

The South China Subtropical Evergreen & Monsoon Forests bioregion is part of the Southeast Asian Forests subrealm and is made up of five ecoregions: Hainan Island Monsoon Rain Forests [1], South China-Vietnam Subtropical Evergreen Forests [2], Jian Nan Subtropical Evergreen Forests [3], Taiwan Subtropical Evergreen Forests [4], South Taiwan Monsoon Rain Forests [5].
